This surface treatment gives the benefits of both protection and aesthetics, as well as increasing the service life of steel in response to the needs of our requirements for energy, to save resources and also upgrade our living standards. This treatment not only offers protection against corrosion, but also provides a wide range of diverse characteristics for many different applications. It is broadly used in the automotive, 3C, home appliance and mechanical industries.   Electrical Galvannealed Electrical galvannealing is basically an electro-chemical plating process. The coating is formed on the base steel by electrolytic action from a zinc solution layer by layer. There are no zinc crystalline spangles as seen in GI material and the galvannealed surface is very clean and perfectly uniform. It can be used for home appliances and 3C products. Basically, the EG process does not change the material nor affect the mechanical property of the cold-rolled base.   However, on the EG production line it is not easy to produce thick coating layers because the plating process is slow and this is not conducive to reasonable production costs and quality.
